The Tasting Table Cookbook Club: February’s Cookbook

The Tasting Table Cookbook Club on FaceBook selected February to be the month of Oprah Winfrey. Some of my recipes this month will be coming from Oprah Winfrey’s new cookbook called Food, Health, and Happiness: 115 On-Point Recipes for Great Meals and a Better Life. We are cooking through a different book each month posting photos of the meals we cooked along with any recommendations that would make the recipe better or healthier.  My goal is to cook at least one recipe per week and so far I am having a blast sharing them with everyone.

There are so many recipes in this book that I feel we will need two months to get a feel for the cookbook. There are many recipes from Hawaiian Bean and Vegetable Soup to Truffle Tortelloni to Naan and Indian Pumpkin Curry. Today I started out with a simple recipe and made the Banana Walnut Oatmeal recipe.
